Crane truck hits road sign, blocking three traffic lanes
BANGKOK — 27 September 2026, A road sign fell onto the roadway after being struck by a crane truck, blocking three lanes on Kanchanaphisek Road on the Bang Phli–Suksawat Expressway.
The incident occurred at around km 19+400, on the B-side carriageway from Bang Khru toward Bang Kaeo.
The fallen sign blocked three lanes, leaving only the far-right lane open to traffic. No injuries were reported in the initial assessment.
The incident caused heavy congestion, with traffic building up along Kanchanaphisek Road toward Bang Na.
Motorists who can avoid the area are advised to consider alternative routes.
Officials were preparing to remove the fallen sign and clear the blocked lanes in an effort to ease congestion and restore normal traffic flow.
