'I'm responsible for hell': Ben-Gvir threatens Hamas terrorist behind 1996 bus bombings

In a video posted on X/Twitter, Ben-Gvir told the terrorist, Hassan Salameh, that he had protested after the 1996 terror attacks against the 18 bus line in Jerusalem, which Salameh had helped plan.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir threatened an imprisoned terrorist on Sunday, saying that he wanted to kill him and that that was "in addition to the Hell up there that you'll get."

In a video posted on X/Twitter, Ben-Gvir told the terrorist, Hassan Salameh, that he had protested after the 1996 terror attacks against the 18 bus line in Jerusalem, which Salameh had helped plan and arrange.

"You killed 48 people," Ben-Gvir said. "Children, women, men, and soldiers - who are my children. When I was a kid, I went, and I protested that they need to take care of people like you. Today, I'm closing that circle."

Ben-Gvir said he wanted to execute Salameh, adding that he was responsible for administering Hell to him.

"Up there, it's God, it's Allah," he said. "Here, I'm responsible for your Hell."

In his post, Ben-Gvir also wrote that Salameh had "trembled and been terrified" when they had met, adding, "and he had good reason to be.

"As National Security Minister, I led a policy that turned his life into hell," Ben-Gvir wrote, "And with God's help, as Defense Minister, I will act to ensure that murderer terrorists like him are put to death, and I will advance the emigration policy from Gaza and from Judea and Samaria."

Hamas claims not to be intimidated by Ben-Gvir

In response to Ben-Gvir's post, Hamas put out a statement claiming that they, and their prisoners, were not intimidated by him.

"Our heroic people will remain loyal to their national causes, foremost of which is the issue of the prisoners, who will not be intimidated by the criminal minister Ben-Gvir and his like extremist, terrorist occupation leaders," Hamas stated, accusing Ben-Gvir of "further crimes" against prisoners.
