LIST: New minimum wage rates in Calabarzon

MANILA, Philippines — More than 1.56 million minimum wage earners in Calabarzon will receive daily pay increases under a new wage order approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board IV-A (RTWPB IV-A).

The wage order provides daily increases ranging from P25 to P45, depending on the worker’s sector and the classification of the city or municipality where they are employed.

  • Non-agriculture sector: P45 increase (from P600 to P645) 
  • Agriculture sector: P25 increase (from P525 to P550)

For First-Class Municipalities:  

  • Non-agriculture sector: P40 increase (from P550 to P590), except in Rosario, Cavite, where the increase is P45 
  • Agriculture sector: P25 increase (from P525 to P550) 

For Second- to Fifth-Class Municipalities: 

  • Non-agriculture sector: P25 increase (from P525 to P550) 
  • Agriculture sector: P42 increase (from P508 to P550) 

For Retail and Service Establishments: 

  • Workers in retail and service establishments regularly employing no more than 10 workers: P42 across all areas (from P508 to P550) 

The new rates will take effect on Oct. 26, 2026, or 15 days after the order’s publication.

The RTWPB IV-A and the National Wages and Productivity Commission approved the new rates following consultations involving representatives from labor groups, employers and the government.

The wage board said the adjustment considered workers’ and their families’ needs, employers’ capacity to pay higher wages, and the region’s prevailing economic conditions.

The wage-setting process is governed by Republic Act No. 6727, or the Wage Rationalization Act, which provides for the periodic review of regional minimum wage rates. /mr
