Regina Daniels recounts wheelchair ordeal

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels
Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has opened up about months of health challenges that left her dependent on a wheelchair, expressing gratitude to God as she celebrated her 25th birthday amid significant improvement in her recovery.
The actress, who turned 25 on Saturday, October 10, disclosed her struggles in a video shared on her Instagram page, where she recounted that what began as a minor health issue gradually developed into excruciating pain and difficulty walking.
Daniels said she lost the freedom to move around as she pleased for several months, adding that her condition took a major turn after the Children’s Day carnival she hosted.
Describing the experience as a series of medical tests, the actress said the pain became unbearable at times, leaving her uncertain about her ability to walk.
“Sometimes, I find myself walking well, sometimes I just can’t move. I cried. I looked unto God for His divine healing because he alone has the final say on my life,” she said.
Daniels, who described herself as someone full of life, said one of the most difficult aspects of the experience was having to depend on people for assistance to take even the tiniest steps.
She, however, expressed gratitude for the progress she had made, revealing that the significant developments in her recovery had encouraged her to share her experience publicly.
She added, “Sitting here today in front of this camera, sharing this with you all, it’s because there’s been some really significant development in my recovery, and I say thank you Lord.”

Beyond her health challenges, the actress also spoke about her decision to move into a new home closer to her children, whom she described affectionately as her babies.
According to her, everything in the house came as a gift from the moment she made the initial payment for the property.
Daniels also recalled an emotional visit to her children, saying the experience brought back memories of the first time she held them after their birth.
She said, “Another sweet memory I’ll love to share is my visit to my babies. That day felt like I had just have them. It felt like I was relieving the exact moment I held them for the first time in life.”
Reflecting on her experiences, the actress described the year as one filled with God’s blessings, despite the health difficulties she had faced.
She said she would continue to give glory and adoration to God for what He had done in her life and what He was still doing.
However, she did not disclose a specific medical diagnosis or provide further details about the treatment responsible for the improvement she reported.
