“I Had Babies When I Was a Baby”- Zari Hassan Clarifies Being Just 46 Years Despite Having Adult Sons

Ugandan entrepreneur and socialite Zarina Hassan, popularly known as Zari Hassan, has addressed persistent public speculation regarding her age, clarifying that having adult children does not make her older than her publicly stated 46 years.

Speaking in a video published on Sunday, September 27, 2026, shortly after celebrating her birthday, the mother of five addressed critics who frequently use the ages of her eldest sons to dispute her official age. Zari explained that she entered motherhood early in life and essentially grew up alongside her children.

“Guys, there is no reason for me to lie about how old I am just because I have big boys. I had babies when I was young, and I have been growing up with them,” Zari stated. “So when you look at my kids and say, ‘No, she must be too old,’ just know that I got babies when I was a baby myself. But I hope it makes you feel better if I say I am 100 years old.”

Expressing confidence in her current stage of life, the entrepreneur emphasized that she remains comfortable with her age and appearance.

“I am feeling so gorgeous at 46 years of age. I do not have to lie about my age,” she added.

Zari’s remarks followed her 46th birthday celebration on Saturday, September 26, 2026, which gained attention online after she strictly enforced the event’s formal dress code. Appearing in a white ensemble with black accents, Zari directed her security team to turn away attendees who arrived in casual attire.

“Jeans and T-shirts? Sorry, you are not my type. Security, please do your job. Thank you very much,” she remarked during the event.

Her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, attended the celebration in an all-black suit adorned with gold details and published a public tribute honoring his wife on her special day.
