Jeremy Doku has been called back up to Belgium’s squad for its upcoming UEFA Nations League games against Turkey and Italy as head coach Mark van Bommel named a 26-man roster on Friday
Manchester City’s Doku last played for his country at the World Cup, where he struggled with illness and was absent for the opening four Nations League games in September and October, where Belgium collected six points
Meanwhile, Van Bommel has called up 20-year-old Josue Kongolo for the first time after moving from Belgium’s Under-21 team and will replace AC Milan defender Koni De Winter, who the coach said had refused a call-up because he was unhappy at having been left on the bench for previous games.
