Israel releases five Lebanese prisoners in move to push return of Jewish community heads' remains

A similar release was done a year ago, when Israel release five detainees, captured while fighting in Lebanon, as part of the negotiations with the Lebanses government.

Israel will release a number of Lebanese detainees on Thursday, reportedly four or five, who were arrested in recent months, as a “gesture to the Lebanese government,” an Israeli source told The Jerusalem Post.

A year ago, Israel also released five Lebanese detainees, who were captured during fighting, as part of negotiations with Lebanon.
