elcome to Sportstar’s LIVE coverage from Day 4 of the Duleep Trophy Final between East Zone and South Zone being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Mohammed Shami and Mukesh Kumar produced metronomic spells on the third day to further corner South Zone in its pursuit of 708 runs. Tilak Varma and Devdutt Padikkal notched up centuries and the former is still unbeaten, but South Zone is reeling at 242 for six.

Despite two days of play left, there’s little doubt over who is lifting the coveted trophy on Thursday. But for South Zone it is now about putting up a fight and denying East a march to an outright win.
