“I Look Like Drogba”- MP Peter Salasya Shares In-Flight Hair Transformation En Route To Dubai

Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya arrived in Abu Dhabi sporting a fresh hairstyle after a fellow passenger offered to braid his hair mid-flight during his journey to the United Arab Emirates.

Sharing the unexpected transformation on his Facebook page, the first-term lawmaker uploaded photos taken inside the aircraft cabin revealing fresh cornrows at the back of his head. According to Salasya, a female passenger seated next to him struck up a conversation during the roughly three-hour flight and suggested braiding his hair to pass the time. The MP agreed and fell asleep, waking up just as the flight landed to find his look completely transformed. Reacting to the outcome with his characteristic humor, Salasya joked about his new appearance, lightheartedly comparing himself to retired Ivory Coast football icon Didier Drogba and Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise while quipping that he might surprise his constituents upon his return to Kenya.

Beyond the viral in-flight moment, Salasya emphasized that the trip to the UAE carries a significant development agenda for his constituency. The MP revealed he is conducting a series of bilateral meetings with potential foreign investors in Abu Dhabi, seeking funding and strategic partnerships across multiple sectors, including youth talent development, local technology infrastructure, and commercial traditional vegetable farming in Mumias East.
