Rains, thunderstorms expected in 9 Luzon areas Monday afternoon

MANILA, Philippines — Moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected in nine areas in Luzon in the next two hours Monday afternoon, according to the the state weather bureau. 

In its advisory issued at 2:40 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the affected areas are as follows:

Meanwhile, in its latest tropical formation outlook issued at 10 a.m., Pagasa said that the low pressure monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression.  /gsg
