Free coffees, beers, doughnuts and more: Outlets rewarding voters this Election Day

Several national brands are rewarding voters with freebies on Wednesday, 4 November. All you need is proof that you’ve cast your ballot, namely that telltale ink mark.
Show your thumb on Election Day for a free Wimpy coffee, Krispy Kreme doughnut, Spur soft serve, and more.
Here’s how to claim your voting-day reward…
Free coffee, doughnuts and ice cream for voters
Wimpy is handing out a complimentary regular Famous Wimpy Coffee or a regular hot chocolate. Just show your inked thumb at a Wimpy restaurant. No additional purchase is needed.
Krispy Kreme has something sweeter in store. Voters who show an inked finger at a physical store can claim an Original Glazed Doughnut. The offer is limited to one per voter, while stocks last, and applies on 4 November only.
The company’s social media post puts it playfully: “Your vote deserves a hole lot of JOY!”
Spur Steak Ranches are offering free dessert. Customers who order any main meal can enjoy a free soft-serve ice cream.
The deal is for dine-in customers only, with one portion per inked thumb.
Pamper yourself after polling
Sorbet is offering 10% off any manicure on 4 and 5 November. Its pitch, as shared on social media: “Pay for 9 fingers, your voting thumb is free.”
That’s not all…
Dozens of local businesses are also offering freebies and discounts for voters on 4 November. Triggerfish Brewery in Somerset West is handing out a free 340ml beer for making your mark, while Vovo Telo Reefside Sibaya in KZN is rewarding voters with a free cappuccino.
Del Forno outlets in Gauteng, North-West and Mpumalanga meanwhile are offering a 19cm pizza + 330ml Pepsi for only R49. Show your voting stamp to qualify.
Whatever you pick, vote first! Then claim your reward, and remember to check the terms before you go. Spur’s offer, in particular, can depend on the participating branch.
