Italian media report that Milan and Roma have set their sights on Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yasin Ayari.
According to Tuttosport and Calciomercato, the Sweden international is attracting some strong interest for the future within Serie A clubs.
Roma had already made an approach several months ago only to be rebuffed, while Milan have now stepped up their pursuit of the player who will celebrate his 23rd birthday next week.
Ayari attracting Serie A interest

His contract with Brighton and Hove Albion only runs to June 2027, giving the Italians a good opportunity to swoop for a relatively cheap price, although the English side does have the option to extend by one year.
He is seen as a potential heir to Luka Modric in the Milan midfield, with Ardon Jashari still struggling to make his mark.

Ayari first came to England for the Seagulls in January 2023, with a couple of loan spells at Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers.
He has one goal in seven competitive appearances for the club so far this season, but was also on target in Sweden’s 3-1 Nations League victory over Poland on Monday.
