MobileMoney Fintech LTD engages 500 customers to deepen cashless economic drive

In line with its commitment to customer-centricity and financial inclusion, Ghana's pioneer digital payments platform, MobileMoney Fintech LTD, has organized a customer engagement forum at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly's auditorium in Accra.

The event, themed "MMFL Cashless Conversation", brought together over 500 participants drawn from various groups, mostly representing the informal sector of the Ghanaian economy, including market women, traders, artisans, drivers, and small and medium-scale business owners.

The forum featured management members of MobileMoney Fintech LTD as resource persons, creating a rare open platform for direct dialogue between the company’s customers and agents.
The interactive session let customers share their experiences, raise concerns, and propose ideas to improve mobile money services.
A key focus of the conversation was addressing transactional challenges faced by both customers and mobile money agents. Participants spoke openly about issues such as delayed transactions, network challenges, agent liquidity, and difficulties in reversing wrong transactions.

Management responded to the concerns and assured customers that the company is continuously investing in system upgrades and agent support to resolve them.
Another major highlight of the forum was education on mobile money fraud prevention and detection.
With fraud cases reported almost every day across digital platforms, the company used the opportunity to sensitize customers on how fraudsters operate and how to stay safe.

Customers were advised against sharing their PINs, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), and other personal credentials, and were urged to be vigilant against calls and messages that create fear, trust, or greed to trick them into revealing sensitive information.
Th e event also featured speakers from civil society organisations who commended MobileMoney LTD for taking financial education to the grassroots and called for sustained collaboration to protect vulnerable users.
Participants expressed appreciation for the engagement, describing it as timely and eye-opening, adding that the education on fraud prevention alone was worth attending, and appealed for the forum to be replicated across all regions of the country.

The Cashless Conversation is expected to become a regular engagement platform to bridge the gap between the company and its customers while promoting responsible use of digital financial services.
