Israeli man reported missing while trekking Greece's Mt. Olympus

Ami Yogev, a 46-year-old Israeli tourist, went missing in Greece on Tuesday evening, according to Israel's KAN News, citing statements from his family.

He set out on Sunday for a hike in the Mount Olympus region, his family told the press, adding that they lost contact with him shortly after that.

The last reported contact was with his mother, to whom he sent a photo from the second stop on the trail he was hiking.

"The Israeli Consul in Athens and the Foreign Ministry's Department for Israelis Abroad have been in contact with local authorities, working to provide all possible assistance in locating the Israeli with whom contact has been lost in Greece," the ministry said in a statement.
