Kogi chief allegedly impregnates teen, damages womb

The family of a teenager has accused the head of the Igala Community in Lagos, Muhammed Salifu, of defiling their daughter and allegedly damaging her womb. The family said the incident, which began in December 2023, had left the teenager’s life devastated. The 58-year-old suspect, however, said he planned to marry her.

Osimhen treatment ends today, eyes return in UCL

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is hopeful of returning to action for Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash against Sporting Lisbon next week after suffering a groin injury in Friday’s 3-2 victory over Istanbul Başakşehir. The Nigerian forward was substituted in the 33rd minute after picking up the injury.
