Halloween Streaming Guide: All Series & Movies To Watch This October

Translate

Adrienne Tyler is a movies & TV features writer, with a focus on horror. She has written for Netflix, FanSided, & more. She was a regular guest on the Netfreaks podcast and was a YouTuber at some point. Guillermo del Toro said “hi” to her once.

The Halloween season has officially begun, and with it come new movies and TV shows on streaming with a wide variety of horror stories, as well as many other movies and TV shows that will be available to stream on different platforms. While there's no such thing as the right season or month to watch horror content, fall and October definitely make it more special as Halloween gets closer and closer.

There are already many well-established Halloween and spooky classics that are a must-watch during this season, such as Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream sagas, John Carpenter’s Halloween, the Friday the 13th movie series, and lighter stories like Hocus Pocus and Edward Scissorhands, with some modern additions like Weapons, Hereditary, and Get Out. Some of these are already available to stream on different platforms, with others arriving throughout October.

Although October 2026 will have fewer new Halloween releases compared to past years, they are some of the most anticipated TV shows and movies of the year. Most new Halloween and spooky TV shows will release all their episodes at once, making them perfect binge-watch material, while others have opted for a weekly release. Combined with other movies and TV shows already available to stream, there will be plenty of great Halloween content this year to enjoy.

American Horror Story is finally back, and it’s time for its 13th season, simply titled 13. For this season, American Horror Story is repeating its Apocalypse trick and is a crossover season, bringing together (to different extents) almost every past season of the show except for Roanoke, 1984, NYC, and Delicate. To make it even better, American Horror Story: 13 brings back its most popular frequent collaborators, with most of them reprising two or more past roles, as is the case for Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson.

Despite its impressive cast and crossover, plot details are still unknown, even after the release of its first three episodes. What’s known about American Horror Story: 13 is that Constance Langdon (Lange) is looking after a mysterious old man named Mr. Nas, and she brought back two of her deceased children along with other dead characters for unknown purposes. American Horror Story: 13 has a weekly schedule, with the finale airing on October 29, 2026.
