Christian Watson caught the longest pass of the night, and Lambeau Field watched him leave in an ambulance. The Green Bay Packers receiver went up for a Jordan Love deep ball in the second quarter against the Carolina Panthers, came down on his front, and stayed there. He walked to the medical tent, then later climbed into the ambulance on the Prime Video broadcast. Watson is 27. The team calls the trip precautionary, but it has not named a diagnosis.
Jordan Love Finds Christian Watson Downfield, And Will Lee III Pays For It Too
The throw came with 9:19 left in the first half, a 53-yard gain that put Green Bay deep in Carolina territory. Panthers rookie cornerback Will Lee III was in coverage when Watson rose to make the grab. NFL insider Ari Meirov put it this way: Jordan Love "dropped a moon ball in the bucket for Christian Watson."

Watson needed trainers' help and then walked to the blue medical tent on his own. Lee had it worse in one respect. He went down holding his left leg, and staff carted him to the locker room. The Panthers listed him as doubtful to return with a hamstring injury.
From "Questionable" To An Ambulance: How The Night Changed For Christian Watson
The Packers first said Watson was "questionable to return with a chest injury." That did not hold. Kaylee Hartung of Prime Video reported he was "taken to the hospital with a chest injury for precautionary reasons," and the Packers said he was going in for "precautionary testing."
Green Bay now has to wait on results like everyone else. Watson has not been ruled out of anything yet, and neither team has said how long Lee could be sidelined. Both receivers and defenders know that a single play can change a week of plans.
For now, the Packers' passing game is without one of its main targets, and the Panthers are without a rookie corner.
