The Twilight movie series is set to come to Netflix today, marking another key moment for the vampire romance film line and its run over the years. For a good while, the Twilight movie series was the most popular release when it came to the world of vampire stories, though it swapped the usual horror focus of this subgenre for a romance about a brooding vampire finding love with a human, which found it a different but very passionate audience.

Today, Twilight's legacy still very much lives on, even if audiences have been more focused on newer and once again more horror-inclined vampire releases like Nosferatu, Sinners, or the Interview with the Vampire show, which lean back into the more classical side of the bloodthirsty undead significantly more.

This means the decision to bring the Twilight series to Netflix in 2026 is one that makes a lot of sense on several levels, both because of the series' immense popularity - first in its original book format, and then as a range of movie adaptations - and because the decision to bring the films to the streaming service are decidedly well-timed to say the least, given when audiences tend to want tales of the supernatural, be they scary or otherwise, is inevitably always the highest around this time of the year.

The Entire Twilight Movie Series Is Coming To Netflix Today

As we move into October and the more Halloween-toned releases that audiences tend to seek out on streaming services during this time of year, it's perhaps no surprise that one popular vampire movie series is set to make its way onto Netflix on the first day of the month, particularly since the Twilight series has managed to garner itself a status as a long-term cultural cornerstone of sorts.

Alongside the Psycho movie series and the Jason Bourne film series, Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1 and Part 2 are all reportedly releasing on October 1st (as per What's On Netflix), meaning those who want to visit or revisit the series during the fall season now have a convenient way to do so.

The whole Twilight series coming to Netflix at once also means those who want to revisit a single chapter or favorite film from the story of vampire Edward Cullen and human Bella Swan's romance - and the complications that arise from it - are as able to do so as those who want to marathon the entire movie roster, which is the best position for the streaming service to be in when it comes to the franchise.

The Twilight Series Is A Perfect Fit For Netflix

One of the most consistently popular offerings on Netflix is that of older movie series that were huge when they first released, but that did so long enough ago that audiences may have forgotten some or all of the finer details around their stories or the wider arc they set in motion.

With this in mind, the Twilight series does seem like a perfect match for this side of Netflix, especially when combined with the fact that these movies are often films that people rewatch during the fall season and October more specifically, due to their supernatural story focuses.

As such, it will be interesting to see how the Twilight movie series fares on Netflix when it appears on October 2026, especially since this will not be the film lineup's first time on the streaming service by any means.
