Pangasinan house fire leaves 1 dead
CALASIAO, Pangasinan – A 65-year-old resident of San Jacinto, Pangasinan, died after his house was gutted by fire on Saturday evening, Sept. 12.
Police said the victim, a single and unemployed resident of Barangay Guibel, was unable to escape as the fire rapidly spread through the house at 10:35 p.m.

Neighbors managed to put out the fire and pull the victim from the burning residence, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.
Police said the victim’s younger brother reported the incident after a nephew informed him that heavy smoke was coming from the victim’s house. /mcm
