Clavicular, the "looksmaxxing" influencer and streamer whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged with one count each of rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse and providing alcohol to a minor, according to online court records viewed by CBC News.

The charges against the 20-year-old were filed on Sept. 8 in a Cape Cod, Mass., courthouse. The alleged incidents occurred on May 23, 2025, according to the records.

Braden Peters, also known as Clavicular online, was recently hospitalized after a suspected overdose. The 20-year-old influencer’s content, based around ‘looksmaxxing’ tips, has garnered attention for how extreme and dangerous it can be.

The charges were first reported by the U.S. outlet The Bulwark. Responding to the Bulwark report, Peters’s representative wrote in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter that "Clavicular has not been physically served. As usual, The Bulwark is exaggerating the status of a case to boost traffic. We appreciate the Hollywood Reporter for fact-checking."

In a statement to CBC News, Peters's representative also suggested the charges are in relation to a previous civil complaint filed in Miami by a woman named Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza. Mendoza accused Peters of battery, fraud and sexual misconduct in relation to events that took place in 2025.

According to legal filings obtained by CBC News, Mendoza previously alleged that the streamer injected her face with Aqualyx without consent when she was a minor. Aqualyx is a fat-dissolving substance not approved by the FDA. She also alleged Peters had sex with her when she was "knowingly intoxicated" and without her consent. 

"THE TIMELINE: She files a lawsuit and doesn’t include sexual assault as a count. Then she amends it and adds it a couple of months later," representatives for Peters wrote in an email to CBC News. 

"Clavicular then filed a motion to dismiss fighting the civil lawsuit because letter/text messages show she knew what was happening with the injections and he refused to pay money. She and her lawyer then go to police." 

Clavicular calls legal filings 'petty'

Peters has become well-known on the internet for his "looksmaxxing" content. He's part of a community that promotes tips for people to improve their attractiveness.

In Clavicular's case, this includes taking steroids and peptide injections and even breaking facial bones in pursuit of more defined features. He has more than a million followers on TikTok.

His content has gained attention for how extreme and dangerous it can be.

Peters took to social media on Monday following the news of the criminal charges. 

"Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you," he wrote on X. 

Alongside the post, he added a video of Mendoza calling him "super nice," and a letter she allegedly wrote to him saying she is "super thankful" for him "helping me as much as you have been." The streamer also posted a clip from a livestream where Mendoza says she was 18, though the date it was filmed is not clear. 

"Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money," Clavicular wrote in another X post. "Greed is evil."

This is not the first time the influencer has been criminally charged. In April, Peters was charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm, stemming from a video of him shooting an alligator in the Florida Everglades.

He was also hospitalized earlier this year after appearing to overdose during a livestream.
