Three Sydney boys charged with gang sexual assault of 14yo girl

Three boys have been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Police said it was alleged the girl was sexually assaulted by three boys in an alleyway on July 22.

Officers executed search warrants at several homes in the city's east on Thursday and three boys, one aged 13 and two aged 14, were arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

A 13-year-old and 14-year-old boy were later charged with aggravated sexual assault in the company of others and two counts of aggravated sexual touching of another person.

The other 14-year-old has been charged with a single count of the same offences. 

Electronic devices were seized in the searches and would be forensically examined, police said.

Two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen, were also seized.

The three boys have been granted bail and are scheduled to face children's court later this month.
