Matt Barrie was ready to fight Auburn’s mascot over inopportune candy-tossing

We're a week out from Halloween, but Auburn Tigers mascot Aubie was feeling vibes on Saturday.
SEC Nation host Matt Barrie… not so much.
During halftime of the Auburn-LSU game at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the SEC Nation studio crew set up shop to discuss the first half. While Matt Barrie, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers, and Tim Tebow talked about what Auburn needed to do to get back in the game, Aubie appeared behind them in a pumpkin costume, candy basket in hand.

It was the most inopportune time to hand out candy, or, perhaps, the most opportune time for a mascot to cause havoc. So Aubie started pelting the analysts and their tiny table with candies.
Unlike earlier in the day when Daniel couldn't stop talking about "Cocktober," the SEC Nation crew kept their composure. That is, until Aubie hit Barrie in the back as he was attempting to wrap up the segment.
"I'm gonna punch the tiger if he doesn't stop throwing candy at me," said Barrie calmly while introducing game stats.
Barrie later shared evidence of his annoyance: a Zapruder-like screenshot on X.
Barrie perhaps got a modicum of revenge with the final score, with LSU drubbing Auburn 38-17. Still, it appears Aubie had a great day in general.
For his sake, we hope Aubie still got a lot of Kit Kat minis in that basket to help him feel better.
