Lyon were one of three clubs penalised by UEFA on Thursday over the conduct of their supporters in European games last week.
The French league leaders were fined 20,000 euros (about USD 22,500) after fans were heard making racist chants during their 3-2 Europa League win over Crystal Palace. UEFA also ordered three sections of the north stand at Lyon’s ground to be shut for one European game, but that closure is suspended for a two-year probation period.

Hajduk Split were hit with a fine of 80,000 euros (about USD 89,500) for fans setting off pyrotechnics in their 2-1 win over Ajax, and a further 16,000 euros (about USD 18,000) for blocking public passageways.
The Croatian club must also play two European games behind closed doors, though the second of those has been suspended.
Trabzonspor were fined a total of 100,000 euros (about USD 112,000) for their supporters’ use of pyrotechnics, a pitch invasion and damage during a 4-2 Conference League win away to KuPS Kuopio. The Turkish club’s fans have also been barred from attending its next away game.
