Vice President Kashim Shettima says he missed the “warmth, wit and good-natured banter with his Fullo cousins” after meeting with them in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Shettima shared this in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, saying he met them at the Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital in Maiduguri.

The VP said the meeting gave him an opportunity to interact with the men he described as his “Fullo cousins”, who are entrusted with the safety and security of Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital.

The post reads, “I reunited with my Fullo cousins, who are entrusted with the safety and security of Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital, in Maiduguri today.

“How I’ve missed their warmth, wit and good-natured banter!” the VP said.

PUNCH Online earlier reported that Kashim Shettima was in Borno State, where he participated in commissioning a 400-bed teaching hospital at the state-owned Kashim Ibrahim University in Maiduguri and the Yerwa Practice Mega School in the state capital.

Speaking at the event,
Shettima commended the Borno State Government for completing the projects, saying they would benefit future generations.

He described the hospital and schools as signs of the state’s recovery after more than a decade of insurgency.

“The ultra-modern Kashim Ibrahim Teaching Hospital and the schools in Maiduguri and across the state are evidence that Borno is recovering,” Shettima said.
