The Azzurri coach has named a 31-man squad for Italy’s final two international fixtures of the year, with four players receiving their first senior call-ups.

However, not all of them will feature in the first team, as Como’s Riccardo Cassano and Parma’s Simone Lontani are not expected to be in Mancini’s plans for the upcoming matches, as they’ll join the U18 and U19 teams, respectively.

Particular interest surrounds Alphadjo Cisse and Mattia Liberali, who will both have the chance to impress and potentially fight for a starting place as Italy prepare to face France and Belgium.

The latest selections have certainly provided plenty of talking points, with Mancini once again looking towards emerging talent as he continues to shape his squad and assess his options ahead of the challenges to come.
