Customs officer murder: Police believe marital dispute led to fatal stabbing

SEREMBAN: Police believe a marital dispute led to the death of a 35-year-old Customs officer, who was allegedly murdered by her husband last night.
Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said preliminary investigations indicated that the victim had been stabbed, with the weapon recovered at the scene.
He said the district police headquarters received a report about 9.30pm yesterday about a man who had surrendered at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi police station in Sepang, Selangor.
The man informed police that his wife had died at a residence in a public housing complex in Nilai.
"Acting on the information, a police team was sent to the scene and found a woman unconscious.
"Medical personnel from Klinik Kesihatan Nilai who examined her at the scene later confirmed her death," he said in a statement today.
Alzafny said a preliminary examination by the Negri Sembilan Criminal Investigation Department's Forensics Division found injuries suspected to have been caused by stabbing.
"A knife and several other exhibits were seized to assist in the investigation.
"The man in his 30s, who is also the victim's husband, was arrested to assist in the investigation.
"The victim was a Customs officer who transferred to the Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) service scheme with effect from July 1, 2026," he said.
Alzafny said the suspect was remanded until Oct 22 to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
"Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to come forward to assist in the investigation," he said.
Police yesterday confirmed that the woman was found murdered at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) quarters in Jalan Kuarters KLIA in Nilai.
