Translate

Twenty years after the 2006 World Cup final, Zinedine Zidane faces Italy again on Friday, this time as France manager, on matchday three of the Nations League. For his first match in France as manager, he also returns to the Stade de France, where he experienced several defining moments of his career.

Portugal beat Denmark (4-2), with goals from João Cancelo, Gonçalo Ramos, Vitinha and João Félix, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s abrupt departure.

Germany beat Serbia (2-0), with Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz on target.

Wales came from behind to beat Norway (2-1), while the Netherlands drew 2-2 in Greece.

In 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Guinea beat Kenya (1-0), with Serhou Guirassy scoring. Carlos Queiroz left Ghana after their heavy defeat by Gambia (4-2).

In the Women’s Champions League, PSG beat Leuven (5-0). Manchester City and Real Madrid drew 1-1, as did Inter Milan in Vienna.

In the EuroLeague, Paris Basketball beat Zalgiris Kaunas (82-78) for their first European win of the season, while Mike James suffered an injury during Anadolu Efes’ 77-72 defeat by Crvena Zvezda.

At the ATP 500 tournament in Tokyo, Carlos Alcaraz beat Alex Michelsen (7-6, 4-6, 6-1), while in Beijing, Alexander Zverev defeated Cameron Norrie (7-6, 6-4).
