Strictly Come Dancing confirms sixth couple eliminated after tense dance-off

Following tonight's (8 November) results show, Strictly viewers have bid goodbye to another couple, with Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu leaving the competition.
Finding themselves in the dreaded dance off against Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby, both couples returned to the dance floor to perform their routines again and save themselves from elimination.
Bethany and Nancy performed their Foxtrot to 'Bleeding Love' by Leona Lewis, while Cach and Maddie performed their Waltz to 'That Ain’t You' by Mulaa Joans before both couples anxiously awaited the judges verdicts.
Anton Du Beke chose to save Cach and Maddie, and both Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Bethany and Nancy, requiring Head Judge Shirley Ballas to cast the deciding vote.
She ultimately voted to save Cach and Maddie, resulting in Bethany and Nancy would be leaving the competition
Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin came in at the top of the scoreboard this week, notching 36 points for their American Smooth routing to 'It Had to Be You' by Harry Connick Jr., while last weeks top-scorers, Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola, slid to the fifth position with their Rumba routing to 'Yellow' by Coldplay receiving a score of 30.

Tonight's results show also commemorated Remembrance Sunday with a special group performance from the Strictly Professionals, choreographed by Lizzie Gough and set to the Peter Gabriel arrangement of Heroes.
Inspired by The Monument to the Women of World War II, the performance put focus on the lives of women during the conflict.
The show also featured music from Gregory Porter, which was accompanied by a routine from Alexis Warr and Aljaž Škorjanec.
The remaining couples will take to the dancefloor again next week at 6.30pm on Saturday 14 November, with the results show airing on Sunday 15 at 7.10pm.
