Nigeria’s religious influence gaining ground abroad – Evelyn Joshua

The Leader of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, has said Nigeria’s religious influence is gaining ground abroad, with Nigerian Christian ministries increasingly taking the gospel beyond the country’s shores.

Evelyn, in a statement signed by the church on Thursday, said the development reflected the international vision of her late husband, Prophet T.B. Joshua, whose ministry attracted worshippers and visitors from different parts of the world and used evangelism and media to reach audiences outside Nigeria.

She spoke shortly after arriving in São Paulo, Brazil, from Lagos on Monday, ahead of the two-day crusade scheduled for September 18 and 19, 2026.

According to her, the Brazilian outreach was part of the church’s ongoing effort to take the Christian message beyond Nigeria, building on the international ministry established by her late husband.

She said, “Nigerian churches have, over the years, carried the gospel to audiences across Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas, contributing to the country’s religious presence and influence outside its borders.

“The São Paulo gathering is more than a two-day religious programme. It’s an opportunity to connect with Christians and communities in South America.

“The wind of glory is blowing already. It is going to be an encounter, a new wave of revival, healing and deliverance.”
Evelyn further urged participants to maintain their faith and remain open to what she described as God’s intervention.
“He wants to prove Himself again in your life. Keep your faith intact and make yourself available to Him and He will transform your life,” she said.
The statement noted that worshippers and visitors were expected from different parts of Brazil, Latin America and beyond.
“Residents from São Paulo, Osasco, Guarulhos, Campinas, São Bernardo do Campo, Santo André, Sorocaba, Ribeirão Preto, São José dos Campos and São José do Rio Preto are among those preparing to attend.
“Interest has also been reported from other Brazilian states, including Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Espírito Santo and Bahia, while participants from Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia and Honduras, as well as parts of Africa, are expected to travel to São Paulo,” the church further states.
According to the statement, Pastor Jonas from Osasco described the event as a significant moment for Brazil, saying residents were eagerly awaiting the gathering and expressing appreciation for the ministry associated with T.B. Joshua and Evelyn Joshua.
Pastor Joshua Eduardo of São Paulo was also quoted as expressing expectations of divine intervention during the crusade, while Pastor Anderson from Rio de Janeiro said he looked forward to witnessing what he described as manifestations of God’s glory during the gathering.
“The theme, ‘Winds of Glory’, centres on the biblical imagery of wind as an expression of the movement and presence of the Spirit of God.
“Within the context of the crusade, it points to themes of spiritual renewal, faith, restoration, healing and transformation,” the statement added.
