Nani is set to return to the big screen with 'The Paradise', an upcoming action thriller directed by Srikanth Odela. The film features the actor in a never-seen-before avatar and promises several elaborate action sequences.

Recently, stunt choreographers Ram and Lakshman opened up about filming Nani’s fight scenes and praised the actor for his dedication to the physically demanding sequences.

Nani worked tirelessly on 'The Paradise' stunts

In an interview with Gulte Pro, Ram and Lakshman spoke about Nani’s commitment to the action sequences in The Paradise. The stunt choreographers revealed that the actor performed several difficult movements himself, including knocking down opponents, getting back up, rolling, restraining people and dragging them during the fight sequences.

They said, “Nani worked really hard on 'The Paradise'. Watch how he knocks down, gets up, rolls around, restrains people, drags them up and down, even pulls them by the head. All this means he’s laid it all out there.”According to the duo, Nani was keen to take on the physical demands of the scenes rather than shy away from them. They recalled the actor repeatedly insisting, “I’ll do it, I’ll do it.”The choreographers also revealed that Nani sometimes asked for additional takes even after a shot had already been approved, as he wanted to ensure that the sequence was executed properly.

Nani was involved in preparing the fight sequence

The stunt team also recalled Nani taking an active interest in the preparation and planning of the action scenes. At one point, the actor reportedly asked, “Sir, did you shoot a separate demo or something?”The choreographers explained that they used iPad cameras to plan and visualise the sequence. They also spent a couple of days scouting a tree location along with Nani before beginning the shoot.Nani’s attention to detail extended to his appearance in the film as well.

The actor reportedly joked about whether elements of his styling would create difficulties during the action scenes, particularly when it came to rope shots, braids and chains.

Nani’s chains and braids become part of his action style

In 'The Paradise', Nani sports a striking new look featuring long hair and braids. While his chains and hairstyle initially presented certain practical challenges during the action sequences, the stunt team eventually incorporated them into the choreography. The duo explained, “These chains usually have some restrictions if you try to do everything freely with all the items. There’s a bit of limitation you have to follow, so you have to take it slow.”Rather than treating the styling elements purely as limitations, the team used them to create a distinctive visual style for Nani’s fight sequences.“We slowly twist the bun in the fight, the bun can spin at high speed. We use that as a style,” they added.

About 'The Paradise'

Directed by Srikanth Odela, 'The Paradise' features Nani in a new action-oriented avatar. Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead, while the cast also includes Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal and Sampoornesh Babu. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on September 24.
