Stefano Pioli shared his thoughts following Juventus’s 2-0 victory over Napoli in Serie A on Sunday evening, suggesting that the hosts’ ‘desire’ is what got them over the line, and that Luciano Spalletti is doing everything he can to get the best out of Randal Kolo Muani.
Juventus picked up a much-needed 2-0 victory at home against Napoli in Serie A thanks to goals from Kerim Alajbegovic and Jeremie Boga on Sunday evening, bouncing back after a midweek 2-0 defeat away against Genoa.

The Bianconeri are now up to seventh place with 17 points from their first 10 league matches of the season, whilst Massimiliano Allegri and Napoli are on 14, one place behind them in the table.
Pioli was a guest in the Sky Sport Italia studio for Sunday’s coverage of Juventus’s 2-0 victory over Napoli and shared his thoughts on the game after full-time.
“It was an exciting game in the first half, but Juventus went on to show the desire to win and it’s a game that will give the Bianconeri a bit more trust,” said the former Milan, Inter, Fiorentina and Lazio head coach (via TMW).

Juventus have recently been playing in a 3-5-2 with Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade up front with injuries to several key attacking players, but then decided to bring on more natural wide players in Jeremie Boga and Edon Zhegrova in the second half.
Asked whether it makes a big difference if Juventus play with wingers or with a two-man striker partnership, Pioli said: “I think so, but Juventus have a lot of wingers. The pairing of Woltemade and Kolo Muani makes sense, but Spalletti made good changes and interpreted the game well. The Bianconeri had a lot of shots from outside the box and they were rewarded for that tonight.”

And on Kolo Muani specifically, Pioli said: “As long as he shows a willing attitude, Kolo Muani is working hard from what I can see, he’s just missing that decisive moment. You have to help him on a psychological level, being there for him and giving him confidence or putting him in different areas on the pitch: In short, basically what Spalletti is trying to do.”
