5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as huge Robert twist is revealed

Emmerdale spoilers follow for Friday’s episode (11 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube and hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight’s Emmerdale, Robert tells Aaron the truth about his and Sadie’s scheme – and reveals what he really has planned.

Elsewhere, Cain reaches out to Sarah after learning the truth about Charity, and Billy discovers Joe’s adoption decision.

1. Cain discovers the truth

Cain visits Charity in prison, prepared for her to call in a favour. Charity explains to him the whole sordid truth, revealing that she and Ross are the biological parents of baby Leyla.

Shocked Cain is still confused about why his help is needed, so Charity tells him that she didn’t kill Dr Todd, Sarah did.

2. Charity makes a request

With Charity facing a life sentence for murder, she begs for Cain’s help to try and get Sarah to change her mind about changing her statement.

Cain returns home and tells Sarah he knows the entire truth about Leyla and Todd and attempts to appeal to her about Charity. Will he succeed?

3. Robert reveals his true intentions

After making a deal with Robert, Sadie is keen to make sure they are on the same side. Robert assures her that he will keep her in the loop about any updates with the money.

Despite agreeing to keep this scheme from Aaron, Robert tells his fiancé the whole story about Sadie and argues that finding this cash could change their lives. He also admits that if he gets to the money, Sadie is the last person he’ll tell…

4. Joe faces backlash

Joe gets confirmation from the coroner that Dawn died from a postpartum haemorrhage. Kim wants to give Dawn a good funeral, but Joe doesn’t think this would help with his grief.

While Kim warns Joe that having his baby son adopted will haunt him, Joe insists that it is his decision and it is what he wants. Billy is furious when he discovers the adoption plan – how will he get involved?

5. Vinny feels guilty

Outside the café, Ruby tells struggling Nicola that she and Caleb want to help pay for Jimmy’s funeral – while Vinny overhears this conversation, feeling increasing guilt about causing the crash.

For how much longer can he keep his secret under wraps?
