A person has been rushed to hospital and another is in custody after a police pursuit through Perth's southern suburbs ended in a serious crash.
The crash happened just before 11am, with fire and ambulance crews rushing to the scene on South Street in Leeming, near the intersection of Beasley Road.
St John Ambulance said a man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital under the highest priority, while a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s were taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Aerial vision from the scene shows the front of a white sedan had been ripped off before the car eventually came to a standstill in the westbound lanes of South St.
The car's engine was ejected in the smash, landing 50 metres away on the opposite side of the six-lane road.

Another black van 90 metres further down the road has a smashed windscreen and a metal road sign lodged in its bonnet.
Debris could be seen scattered through all lanes of traffic.
Neighbourhood 'shaken'
Jessica Humble said she heard what sounded like "a really bad crash" as she was leaving her home around 11am.
"I just heard loads of police sirens, and then all of a sudden it was just like bang bang bang, really loud," she said.
She said a couple of drivers pulled over to help but then backed off when police descended on the area.
"It has shaken the neighbourhood a little bit, but it's a really bad spot, it's notorious for crashes."
Another witness, who did not want to be named, said he was confronted by the scene as he returned home.
"There was just debris spread as far as the eye could see," the witness said.
He said his wife described the sound of the crash as "like a bomb going off".
