Translate

A 19-year-old has been charged with committing hate crimes by Brisbane counter-terrorism police over alleged threats he made on Monday.

Police accused the man of making abusive threats towards a family at a home in Morningside, in the city’s inner-south.

The teenager was tracked down on Tuesday by investigators, and arrested with the help of specialist public safety officers at accommodation in Spring Hill.

He was charged with three counts of making threats, serious vilification or hate crime, and refused bail.

He was expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
