Strictly Come Dancing star Delta Goodrem makes "incredible" return as she sets 2026 season record

Eurovision star Delta Goodrem returned to Strictly Come Dancing tonight (24 October) after having to drop out last week. The singer had to skip last week's performance after sustaining a rib injury, but received the all-clear to return to the competition this week.
Prior to the live show, the former Neighbours star shared how emotional she was over the wave of support that she'd received both from her partner Kai Widdrington and viewers at home.
The couple danced the Rumba to 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' by Celine Dion, with Delta saying in the pre-show interview that she "won't go down without a fight", while she got checked by a doctor ahead of her performance.

The emotional performance saw the couple deliver a passionate routine, which was praised by the judges. The couple received a total of 34 points as well as the very first 10 of the season, with Anton Du Beke giving the couple maximum points.
At home, viewers praised Delta for coming back strong after injury, with one writing on X: "Delta Goodrem, take a bow!!!!! She is an incredible dancer. That gave me goosebumps."
Another viewer echoed this sentiment, writing: "Thank God for Delta Goodrem we all say in unison". A third fan also enjoyed their routine, noting: "THE FIRST 10 OF THE SERIES DELTA GOODREM THE WOMAN YOU ARE."
Elsewhere in the live show, Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita following in Delta and Kai's footsteps as they secured two 10s - and a season-leading 37 points - for a Couple's Choice.
At the other end of the leaderboard were Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr, who accrued a measly 17 points for the Jive. Lawrence Robb and Jowita Pryzstal didn't fare much better with the same dance, as they scored two points more.
Graeme Hall and Lauren's spy-themed Tango impressed the judges with a total of 31. Meanwhile, Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby will perhaps be disappointed to only score 24 for the Cha Cha Cha.

Will Best and Dianne Buswell fared much better with the same dance, as they scored 31. But there was a neat little nod as the routine referenced Will's real-life update, where he became a dad earlier this month!
Sunday's results show is set to include a performance from Spice Girls icon Melanie C, where she performs her new single 'Swear'. We'll also see the UK TV debut performance of Hamie Miller's viral hit 'Babydoll' featuring Antonio Cipriano, and of course the next elimination.
