The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Hyrule Arrives May 2027

Back in February, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda franchise, and it was hard to believe that it was this time in 1986 that Nintendo Entertainment System owners were experiencing the hit Nintendo saga for the first time.

Courtesy of Game Press, Zelda fans can get their hands on The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Hyrule, a stunning hardback book that will allow them to relive the epic story of Ocarina of Time ahead of the launch of its remake.

Available in two editions: Deluxe and Hero of Time, it is written by Anna-V. "Kurusonna", and gives us a detailed account of Ocarina of Time from the perspectives of our favorite heroes. The official synopsis reads as follows:

"Everyone knows the story of the Hero of Time who saved the Kingdom of Hyrule from falling into darkness forever. But, beyond the hero, the princess, and the villain, there are other characters whose decisions were key to forging this legend...

"Echoes of Hyrule narrates, in the form of stories, various events of the video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, ordered chronologically, starting even before the beginning of the game and going beyond the lands of Hyrule.

Here, the protagonists are the characters whose stories have never been told, yet who were always there; those who accompany and even help the Hero of Time and, in turn, enrich the world with their own narratives. What are their lives like? What desires do they have? How did they end up? They all play a silent yet important role, and, thanks to their decisions, our hero was able to succeed in his adventure."

Heralded as one of the greatest games of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an action-adventure game and is the first in the franchise to transition into 3D. Players take on the role of Link, a young boy sent on a quest to save the world from the evil Ganondorf. Players will switch between young and adult Link as they head to the past and the future to save Hyrule from its dark fate. A Nintendo 3DS version of the game was released in June of 2011, including improved visuals, frame rate, and motion controls.
