Bela Padilla, tech CEO Martin Tan confirm 8-month relationship

For the first time, Bela Padilla and tech entrepreneur Martin Tan have confirmed that they have been dating each other for eight months.

The couple made the revelation in content creator Johnny K’s reel series “Meet Cute with Johnny K,” after they were spotted at a Sunday market in Makati City.

When asked how they met, Tan said they were introduced through a common friend before he revealed that they have been together for eight months.

Padilla said they immediately clicked, particularly after discovering that they both enjoy watching movies.

“He said he likes movies, and I love movies also, so I was very, very excited when he started talking about movies,” she said.

Tan was then asked about his favorite thing about the actress. “Her brain, and she’s funny and beautiful,” he said.

Padilla, meanwhile, said she likes that Tan is willing to try different things with her.

“He’s game to try everything, like going to markets even if it’s early,” she said, before adding that Martin is “pogi (handsome).”

“I don’t wanna say it because people will start DM-ing you,” Padilla added with a smile.

The actress also shared that she feels loved when Tan surprises her with trips or getaways. 

“When he knows I’m going through something, he’ll plan a trip. Yeah, I think beach trips, that’s my fave,” she said.

Tan said one of the things he appreciates about Padilla is when she leaves little notes in his work bag.

The couple also revealed that Tan was the first to say “I love you” between them. They also shared their pet names to each other, which is “baby.”

Padilla and Tan’s relationship had been the subject of speculation after they were spotted together at the June 2026 opening of a pet lifestyle clinic.

The actress also previously shared that there was someone special in her life who had been making her smile, although she did not confirm their relationship at the time.

Tan was also spotted supporting Padilla at the Sept. 7 red carpet premiere of her latest film “Life After You,” which also stars Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

Padilla previously dated Swiss-Italian businessman Norman Bay, with whom she was in a five-year relationship.
