Nora Fatehi BREAKS silence on Sukesh Chandrashekhar case; team says she faces no allegations, matter adjourned to November 6

Nora Fatehi has come forward to clear the air in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. Her legal team has clarified that she is neither an accused nor facing any allegation of wrongdoing in the matter.

The statement comes after the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) case was heard at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on November 2, where Nora had been summoned as a witness.

Nora Fatehi’s legal team issues statement on court summons

According to Hindustan Times, Fatehi’s legal team issued a statement on Tuesday, saying, “The EOW matter concerning Sukesh Chandra Shekhar was listed today before the Rouse Avenue Court, Delhi, where Nora Fatehi was summoned as a witness. Her advocates appeared before the Court and submitted that she had received the summons at a very short notice and was unable to attend due to prior professional commitments.

An application seeking exemption from personal appearance was filed, following which the matter was adjourned to 6 November 2026, with fresh summons issued for her appearance.

”“It is clarified that Nora Fatehi is neither an accused nor alleged to have committed any offence in these proceedings. She has been summoned solely as a witness to assist the Court,” they added.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar case: Rs 200 crore extortion allegations

Sukesh, who was lodged in Delhi’s Rohini Jail at the time, allegedly posed as senior government officials and extorted roughly Rs 200 crore.

The Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing looked into the case and filed a chargesheet under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Nora Fatehi named prosecution witness in supplementary chargesheet

Nora had previously been questioned by the EOW over her alleged association with Chandrashekhar and his wife, Leena Maria Paulose. After her statement was recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC, she was listed as a prosecution witness in the supplementary chargesheet. According to what she told investigators, her interactions with Chandrashekhar went through his wife.
