Man attacked by tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Translate

Emergency services are responding to a "serious incident" at the tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

In a statement posted on its website, the visitor attraction said its emergency response procedures had been "immediately activated" and it was "working closely with the authorities to ascertain exactly what happened".

The park, near Doncaster, will remain closed for the remainder of the weekend, it added.

The BBC has contacted the park, South Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service for further details.

The park said the safety and wellbeing of its visitors, staff and animals "remain our highest priority".
