A car has been set alight in the driveway of a home in Keilor early this morning.

It is the second firebombing in a residential street in Melbourne's north-west in less than 24 hours.

A teenage boy continues to fight for life in hospital after an arson attack in the nearby suburb of Taylors Hill yesterday morning.

Another car has been destroyed in a second firebombing in suburban Melbourne in less than 24 hours.

A vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in Petrik Drive in Keilor was set alight just after 3am.

Police said the offenders fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

"No one was inside the vehicle at the time and there was no damage to nearby properties," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

The incident follows the firebombing of two cars outside a home in the nearby suburb of Taylors Hill yesterday morning.

A teenage boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after he was engulfed in flames during the arson attack.

A stolen car being used by a number of offenders in that incident also caught alight and was destroyed.

Police are still searching for two people who fled the scene.
