Juventus are stepping up their pursuit of Sassuolo midfielder Darryl Bakola, as the teenager could be targeted for a January transfer at age 19.
The presence of Bianconeri director general Giovanni Carnevali is crucial here, because he was in charge of the Sassuolo strategy when they bought Bakola from Olympique Marseille in February.
That was a big investment at €10m plus €2m in add-ons, but has already paid off, with three assists in six competitive appearances so far this season.
Bakola on Juventus radar

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Carnevali now wants to bring him to Turin and is eager for a reunion as soon as possible.
Bakola celebrates his 19th birthday next month and is already being tipped for a future in the France squad under Zinedine Zidane.

The longer Juve leave it, the more his price tag is expected to rise, and with it competition from Premier League clubs.
They have long done business with Sassuolo, most recently Tarik Muharemovic and Vasilije Adzic.
With Khephren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli both ruled out by long-term injuries, coach Luciano Spalletti needs reinforcements who can bring energy to the midfield.
