'Dhurandhar 2' television premiere: Here's when and where you can watch the Ranveer Singh film on TV, the cuts by CBFC, runtime of the film and more details inside

After dominating the box office and making its presence felt on OTT, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is now headed for television. However, viewers tuning in for the TV premiere may not get to see exactly the same version that played in theatres, with the film reportedly undergoing extensive cuts to meet television certification norms.Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, Aditya Dhar’s action-packed spy thriller will premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 7 PM. The television debut comes months after its theatrical release and OTT premiere, giving the blockbuster another chance to reach audiences across the country.According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the makers were asked to make around 45–50 cuts before the film could be cleared for television.

The changes are reportedly concentrated largely on the film’s violent and gory portions. A source quoted by the publication said, "Almost all the modifications pertained to the extremely violent and gory scenes" and added that the disturbing portions were edited in a way that the makers could retain the essence and overall impact of the movie. The extent of the changes is significant considering the version released in theatres had received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The theatrical cut had a runtime of 3 hours, 49 minutes and 6 seconds, which translates to around 229.6 minutes. With the reported cuts made for television, it remains to be seen how much of this runtime will make it to the small screen.Interestingly, the film had already gone through another round of changes before its theatrical release. An earlier Bollywood Hungama report stated that the CBFC had asked the makers to remove around 94 seconds of footage before granting the film its ‘A’ certificate.

Certain abusive words were also reportedly muted or replaced.Despite the changes, the film’s action and violence remained among its most discussed elements. The television version is now expected to tone down some of these sequences further while attempting to preserve the overall narrative and impact of the film.‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ features Ranveer Singh alongside Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is a high-octane spy thriller that followed a hugely successful theatrical run before arriving on OTT.Its television premiere comes after a remarkable box-office performance. According to figures reported by trade tracker Sacnilk, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has earned around Rs 1,813 crore worldwide, making its TV ratings another number to watch as the blockbuster begins its next phase of release.
