GPL 2026/27: 10-man Karela United hold Young Apostles in Wenchi

Translate

For the third game running, Young Apostles failed to pick all three points in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League.

The Holy ones were held to a goalless draw at home by Karela United despite the latter suffering a red card during the game.

Apostles came into the game on the back of consecutive defeats in the league to Asante Kotoko and Swedru All Blacks.

It was the same fate for Karela who also had suffered degrades to All Blacks and Port City in their last two games before this clash.

Despite a cagey encounter between the two sides, none of them were able to get onto the scoresheet.

For the majority of the game, Karela played with 10 men having been shown a red card in the 28th minute of the game.

Despite posing a numerical advantage, Young Apostles were unable to make the chances count as they settled for a 0-0 draw at the end of 90 minutes.

The result sees Apostles stay in the relegation zone while Karela sit 14th after nine games.
