Strictly Come Dancing feud revealed by ex-contestant: "They didn’t like each other very much"

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 celebrity contestant Wynne Evans has shared a piece of behind-the-scenes gossip from his season, alluding to one of the show's couples who didn't exactly get along.

Taking to his TikTok page, the opera singer responded to fans' questions, addressing a query asking about pro dancers and celebrities who "didn't get on well" and what they would be doing when they weren't on the dancefloor.

"There was one couple in my year, if I'm honest, that didn't like each other very much," he began.

"And when they got knocked out, I remember the pro was... not upset," he added.

Evans' revelation prompted a plethora of questions from Strictly fans wanting to identify the couple, as some even shared their own theories as to who the pair might be.

As Strictly lovers suggested it could be Toyah Willcox and pro dancer Neil Jones, Evans was quickly to shut this theory down.

"You lot are just terrible! God, I'm the one who's meant to be the naughty one!" he began in a follow-up on TikTok.

"How could it be Neil and Toyah? Everybody loves Neil, and everybody loves Toyah, right? So how could it be them?" he continued.

"It just couldn't be in any way, shape or form."

Evans remained tight-lipped, saying: "I'm so tempted to say one thing, but I can't say."

In a third TikTok clip, Evans also reacted to fans suggesting it could be Shayne Ward and pro partner Nancy Xu.

"Right, can you stop this? Can you stop messaging me asking if it's so and so, so and so?" he said laughing.

"What you need to do is get me absolutely smashed on gin Martinis, then I might tell you," he joked.

Evans was partnered with Katya Jones on Strictly, with the couple being eliminated in Blackpool.

The opera singer was at the centre of some controversy during his Strictly stint, with a moment between him and Katya being called out by Women's Aid and an inappropriate comment made during the Strictly tour being caught on camera. Evans subsequently apologised.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One and iPlayer, while It Takes Two airs on BBC Two and iPlayer on weekday evenings.
