On3Sports' Radi Nabulsi took to X, formerly Twitter, to share Smart's response from his weekly press conference in Athens, where the coach emphasized keeping conversations with his players private.
"Yeah, I mean it's happened before. It's not something I want. I feel like that that's a spot that you should be able to feel safe to to talk to your team and communicate with your team and, and I mean, it's happened before to us. We got to do a better job managing it, honestly."

The recordings captured Smart's pregame and postgame messages surrounding the Bulldogs' 20-17 Week 6 win over the Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Georgia's defense held Alabama to 17 points after the Crimson Tide scored at least 45 in every previous game this season. It was Alabama's lowest home scoring total since 2011.
The win marked Georgia's first victory in Tuscaloosa since 2007 and Smart's first regular-season win there as head coach. The Bulldogs improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in SEC play, then moved to No. 1 in the AP poll.
Smart's profanity-laced pregame address emphasized physicality and challenged his players to impose themselves on Alabama. His postgame remarks praised their aggressive approach and referenced a late sequence involving Bulldogs receiver Craig Dandridge and Crimson Tide defensive back Dijon Lee Jr.

The reporter who raised the issue Monday asked whether Smart might change who can enter the locker room. The Bulldogs head coach did not identify who released the recordings or detail new access rules.

The Bulldogs now turn their attention to Auburn. As of Monday, Smart had acknowledged the recurring leaks and called for better management without publicly outlining specific measures to prevent another release.
