Following Fuerza Regida‘s conversation with Memo Ochoa, former captain and goalkeeper of the Mexican National Soccer Team, during a highly attended panel at Billboard Latin Music Week, the group took center stage for a live performance at the Faena Theater in Miami Beach, Fla., on Tuesday night (Oct. 20) for its Billboard En Vivo show. The event showcased not only its massive draw, but also the reasons why the band has amassed millions of fans worldwide.

From the very first moment, Fuerza Regida’s energy and versatility were on full display as the group made a grand entrance to the stage with hit “Marlboro Rojo,” a track that reached No. 1 last year on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs and Regional Mexican Airplay charts.

The band from Salinas, Calif., continued its musical journey with other hits — including “Sabor Fresa,” “Chavalitas” and “Rosones” — before introducing their first guests of the night: Los Gemelos de Sinaloa and Clave Especial — both signed to Street Mob Records — who electrified the venue with “Ferrari,” a collaboration that made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 a few months ago. Street Mob Records, led by Fuerza Regida’s frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz, had just been honored with the Publisher of the Year award at Billboard’s Latin Power Players event the night before.

But the best was yet to come, with performances of songs such as “Tu Sancho,” “Tu Boda,” “Nel,” the high-energy “Me Jalo” alongside Grupo Frontera, and an epic original collaboration featuring Spanish rapper Yung Beef and Anuel AA to perform “Cuando No Era Cantante.”

Fuerza Regida is set to receive the Billboard Vanguardia Award on Thursday (Oct. 22) during the Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock. The band is a 12-time finalist for the awards. This year’s list of finalists is led by Peso Pluma, with 17 mentions.

Currently in the middle of its historic stadium tour This Is Our Dream Come True, Fuerza Regida has announced it is preparing new music for 2027 under Rancho Humilde, with whom the group is trying to solve a recent legal dispute.
