Wednesday's NBA games brought a comeback win for LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers, a Lakers victory without Luka Dončić, and a major franchise record for Bam Adebayo. Philadelphia beat the Indiana Pacers 114-109 after trailing by 15 points in the third quarter. The Lakers handled the Clippers 103-87 despite missing Dončić because of back tightness. Meanwhile, Adebayo passed Udonis Haslem to become Miami's all-time leading rebounder in a 129-117 win over Atlanta. Stephen Curry also scored 44 points as Golden State beat Minnesota 119-114. These results gave fans plenty to follow, from late-game pressure to individual milestones.

LeBron James Faces Indiana Boos As Luka Dončić Misses Lakers-Clippers Game

James finished with 13 points and 10 assists as the 76ers recovered from a difficult third quarter to beat the Pacers. Philadelphia entered the final period trailing 88-75 but outscored Indiana 39-21 in the fourth.

The crowd also made its feelings clear when James went to the free-throw line late in the game. He missed his first attempt before making the second. Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia with 27 points, including two three-pointers in the final 90 seconds that helped seal the win.

In Los Angeles, Dončić watched from the sidelines as the Lakers beat their city rivals. The guard sat out with back tightness on the second night of a back-to-back after scoring 41 points against Portland the previous night.

The Lakers did not need their leading scorer to get the job done. Quentin Grimes scored 23 points, while Collin Sexton added 21 off the bench. Coach JJ Redick took a cautious approach to Dončić's condition, and his return will depend on how he feels.

Bam Adebayo Breaks Heat Rebounding Record As Stephen Curry Scores 44

Adebayo had 24 points and nine rebounds as Miami beat Atlanta for its first win of the season. His nine boards took his career total to 5,794, moving him past Haslem's previous franchise record of 5,791.

Adebayo spoke about the personal meaning of passing his former teammate.

“I can't really put it into words, man; the person I'm passing is so close to me…I came into a league trying to make an impact and to pass some of the people that've been with me in this journey — can't do anything but thank God,” he said.

The Heat gave Adebayo the game ball to mark the achievement. Giannis Antetokounmpo also had 24 points and 18 rebounds in the win.

Curry, meanwhile, made six three-pointers and all 16 of his free throws against Minnesota. His 44-point performance helped the Warriors secure a 119-114 road win over the Timberwolves.
