Indonesia Motorcycle Show targets industry growth, exports

Translate

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The 2026 Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) is expected to boost economic growth by stimulating domestic demand and strengthening the country's motorcycle industry.

"This exhibition is more than just an event or showcase. It can stimulate market growth and maximize the contribution of the national motorcycle industry," Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) Chairman Thomas Wijaya said here Friday.

Through a series of programs and activities, the exhibition aims to strengthen the industry's competitiveness, helping manufacturers expand beyond the domestic market into export markets.

Yosef Utama, AISI's commercial affairs chairman and IMOS organizing committee chairman, said the event, themed "Riding Toward a Sustainable Future," would feature at least 15 motorcycle brands and 53 supporting brands. The 10-day exhibition will run from Nov. 20 to 29, 2026, at ICE BSD in Banten.

Yosef said the exhibition would offer motorcycle enthusiasts more than just vehicles, showcasing supporting products ranging from apparel, helmets, tires, and lubricants to spare parts and riding accessories.

"Visitors can take part in educational activities, including safety riding courses, talks, live quizzes, motorcycle modification competitions, and test rides of various models," he added.

With a longer exhibition period than last year, Yosef said he expected IMOS to generate higher sales transactions than the previous edition.

"We are optimistic that transactions will exceed last year's results," he said.
