Bahati Dares Forex Traders to Match Kenyan Prince’s KSh1 Million Wedding Invitation
Kenyan singer Bahati has challenged fellow forex traders to prove they can afford his KSh1 million wedding invitation after announcing that trader Kenyan Prince has purchased one.
In a post shared on his social media pages on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Bahati celebrated Kenyan Prince, also known as K.P. Forex, describing him as the first forex trader to buy an invitation to his upcoming wedding with Diana Marua.
The singer used the announcement to challenge other players in the foreign exchange market, questioning whether any of them would be willing to part with the same amount to attend the highly publicised ceremony.
“IT’S OFFICIAL; KENYAN PRINCE IS THE ONLY FOREX TRADER WHO CAN AFFORD & HAS PURCHASED THE BAHATI’S 1 MILLION INVITE,” Bahati wrote.
He then dared other traders to follow Kenyan Prince’s lead, adding:
“NYINYI MNAONA KUNA FOREX TRADER MWINGINE ATA AFFORD KWELI??? NANGOJA NIJIONEE.”
Bahati and Diana Marua set KSh1 million wedding invitation fee
The announcement comes days after Bahati and Diana revealed that their long-awaited wedding would take place on November 6, 2026, with attendance limited to 100 guests.
The couple announced their plans on Wednesday, October 7, as they marked 10 years together. Bahati said they were finally ready to formalise their union but would restrict attendance to a select group willing to pay the stated invitation fee.
“On this special day we will only have 100 people in attendance, and anyone who would like to attend must pay Ksh1 million to get the invite,” he said.
Diana later confirmed the wedding date and encouraged interested guests to purchase invitations.
The announcement sparked mixed reactions online, with some Kenyans questioning the idea of charging guests KSh1 million to attend a wedding, while others viewed the arrangement as part of the couple’s lavish celebration.
Bahati stands firm amid criticism
Bahati has continued to defend the invitation fee despite criticism from members of the public and prominent personalities.
On October 9, 2026, the singer said the wedding was meant for what he described as “ballers” and questioned whether some people were waiting for the price to drop before purchasing invitations.
He also responded to critics, including Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria and preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari, who publicly challenged the idea of paying KSh1 million to attend another couple’s wedding.
