Carter Efe was put on the spot during his Ghana trip with a question plenty of people have strong opinions about. An interviewer named Mary asked the Nigerian streamer whether it's true that a man can't stay with only one woman. Carter took a moment before answering, calling the idea"a lie and a truth," and pointed straight to Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale, who recently kissed two women he calls his wives on stage. In the end, though, Carter made his own position clear. "To me, one woman is the best for me," he said.

Carter Efe's answer about Shatta Wale

The clip opens with Mary's question, and she kept it simple."Is it true?" she asked.

Carter didn't give a straight yes or no."To be honest, I will say is a lie and a truth," he said, before bringing up Shatta Wale. He described the singer as having "two wife" and said he "was kissing them on stage," adding that the two women seemed to get along well.

Carter even gave Shatta Wale some credit for owning his choice."He's right," he said. "Advocate is right to say that kind of word, but I don't know."

What happened at ShattaFest 2026

The moment Carter was talking about happened at ShattaFest 2026, Shatta Wale's birthday concert at the Accra Sports Stadium in October. During his performance, the singer called out two women he refers to as his wives, Queen Maali and Shuga, and kissed both of them on stage.

The clip spread quickly online, with some fans praising his confidence and others questioning whether the women are actually his wives at all. Shatta Wale has long joked about his relationship views, which he calls"Shattanomy."

Carter Efe makes his own choice clear

Whatever works for Shatta Wale, Carter isn't planning to copy it."One thing about me, I love one women," he said. "One women are the best."

He repeated the point more than once, with a woman in a floral bonnet smiling behind him as he kept insisting,"I love one women." The comments come during a trip that has been as much about romance as streaming. Carter arrived in Ghana with his girlfriend, Taylor Jasmine, at the end of October, and the couple have been sharing sweet moments on their streams ever since.
